Career Durbar is a convocation of Freshmen and women who have been offered Mathematics as a course in the University, Lectures, Seniors and Faculty Leads . The Durbar will seek to provide sound direction for students on how to apply Math to solve societal challenges as well as expose them to tools that will make their study of the subject enjoyable.
Share a book
In a country where learning materials are not sufficient especially for students in the rural areas, the 'Share a Book' project seeks to ameliorate the impact of this lack. The project identifies a community with a need in terms of Math text books in which case most University Students have lying freely on their shelves. Such books are gathered and a date is set aside for the presentation of the books to be made to the school's Library.
Impact Math Conference (IMC)
How math is taught in schools can really make a difference. In several rural communities in Ghana, most public school teachers (often without the requisite qualification) are hired to save the situation. Math Mentorz believe that the way forward is to boost the skills of these teachers to enable them teach a subject so much tagged as fearful, with ease. The IMC therefore equips teachers in rural communities with low standards in Math on easy ways of delivering better content.
